Setterwalls appoints Owe Hjelmqvist as new Managing Partner in Stockholm

Owe Hjelmqvist, is the new Managing Partner at Setterwalls’ Stockholm office. Håkan Fohlin, who has been Managing Partner for 3,5 years, has decided to return to full-time practice. Owe Hjelmqvist’s main areas of practice as a lawyer is intellectual property rights and litigation and arbitration. He has, inter alia been active as counsel to companies and organizations within the Swedish media and entertainment industry, such as event companies, television companies and newspapers.

– Setterwalls runs an activity that dates back to the nineteenth-century, but with the ambition of being one of the most modern law firms. It is a challenge to manage such a business, Owe Hjelmqvist states.

Setterwalls is one of Sweden’s leading corporate law firms. We are the fourth largest Swedish law firm with nearly 200 employees, including approximately 140 lawyers at three offices Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmoe.

Setterwalls’ turnover 2006 was 342 MSEK, a strong growth compared to 2005 when the turn-over was 262 MSEK. We have recently become the fastest-growing corporate law firm, in-creasing 85% in four years and doubling our number of lawyers in five.
