Area(s) of practice

KATRIN SALWÉN is a senior associate at Setterwalls specialized in EU & Competition law and IP/TMT. Katrin has broad experience of advising and representing firms on all matters related to competition law including antitrust, state aid, merger control and EU law. She advices firms in a variety of sectors, often involving complex commercial, IP and technological issues. Katrin also advises clients on IP-law and regulatory matters. She has represented firms before Swedish courts, in arbitration proceedings, the European Court of Justice as well as the Swedish Competition Authority and the European Commission.

Prior to joining Setterwalls, Katrin worked with the European Commission, leading law firms in Brussels and Stockholm and as Head of Legal at the Swedish Performing Rights Society (STIM).

Katrin holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in IP and EU law as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in competition law, both from King’s College London. She also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Uppsala University.
