STRABAG wins contract to rebuild mall in Täby, Stockholm

Lennart Iwar from Setterwalls advised STRABAG Projektutveckling AB, which is part of the global Strabag AS (listed on Austrian stock market), in negotiations with Rodamco Projekt AB, which is part of the listed French group Unibail-Rodamco SA (one of Europe’s largest real-estate owners) regarding a turnkey project to refurbish and extend the mall in Täby (retail, commercial and residential space). STRABAG won the turnkey contract to extend and renovate the mall in Täby, Stockholm.

STRABAG is already one of the leading construction players in Northern Europe. This contract – worth over EUR 100 million - will be one of the first major commercial construction projects in Scandinavia.

The current 50 000 m² lettable area in Täby will be refurbished and an additional      30 000 m² will be created. The existing 2400 parking lots will also be increased to 3600.

Construction will start in October 2010 with completion in March 2015.
