Bank acquires insurance broker

Sparbanken 1826 acquires SÄKRA in Kristianstad, which is the largest independent insurance broker in northeast Skåne. 1826 Försäkra, which is the company's new name, will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the bank and the first independent insurance broker company in Sweden to be owned by a bank. The aim is that 1826 Försäkra will become the strongest player in insurance brokerage within its field of activity.
